Through a collaboration between TBAE Network, The Economic Club of Tampa and the Hillsborough Education Foundation, the 2017 Economic Club Forum comes to your screen!

The Economic Club of Tampa was established in 1977 and provides dynamic forums for business, professional, elected and community leaders to identify and discuss economic, social and political issues. The Club also works to identify and assist upcoming young leaders through it's collaboration with the Hillsborough Education Foundation. The annual Economic Club Forum was held on Monday, April 3rd, 2017 and is today recognized as one of the South’s most important forums for the economic growth of the Tampa Bay area. It is dedicated to celebrating the unique economic diversity and assets of our community as well as recognizing community leaders for their efforts in improving the quality of life in our area.

This 2nd annual forum's speakers include Mayor of Tampa, Bob Buckhorn, and Mayor of St. Pete, Rick Kriseman who discussed economic development in our region and the importance of various issues that impact the success that we have in drawing in businesses to our community. Joe Lopano, CEO of Tampa International Airport, was the featured community leader at this event as the recipient of the award of Economic Developer of the year. You will also hear from students who received scholarships through the help of the Economic Club of Tampa and the Take Stock in Children program with the Hillsborough Education Foundation. Greg Forrest, alumni of the Take Stock in Children program was also invited to speak on behalf of the impact this scholarship had on his future career.

If you missed the event, or want to watch it again, you can tune in to Spectrum 635 or Frontier FiOS 32 at 8 PM on July 21st.
