FLORIDA AQUARIUM TIDE TALKS TO BE TELEVISED LOCALLY
Beginning January 30th, the lectures will be televised on Tampa Bay Arts & Education Network on Wednesday nights at 9 pm.
The Tampa Bay Arts and Education Network is proud to announce The Florida Aquarium Evening Tide Talks Lecture Series will be televised locally on Wednesday nights on Tampa Bay Arts & Education Network, Verizon Channel 32 and BrightHouse Channel 614, beginning January 30th at 9 PM. Three science lectures will be taped and televised: David Hastings, Dr. Heather Judkins, and Matt Rigney.
The first lecture by David Hastings, Dissolving Before our Eyes: Ocean Acidification and why it matters to Floridians, will air this Wednesday at 9 Pm in TBAE’s Science Prime Time, TBAE’s science education evening programming which has a special emphasis on Florida ecology and environmental science. The televised lectures will be able to reach a potential audience of over one million people in the Bay area and millions more on the web, enabling a much larger audience to see these timely scientific lectures and creating broader awareness about the Florida Aquarium’s role as an important environmental educator.
Series will include speakers David Hastings, Professor Eckerd College; Dr. Heather Judkins, Assistant Professor, USF; and Matt Rigney, Author of "The Pursuit of Giants: One Man’s Global Search for the Last of the Great Fish"
