Bowman is the Manager of Culinary and Strategic Initiatives for the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program. Trained as a marine scientist and passionate about conservation, she has been with the aquarium for over 20 years. Her current work focuses on developing strategies for culinary audiences - including chefs & culinary media - that support the purchase of seafood from fisheries and fish farms that are minimizing their environmental impacts.

"Our scientists research government reports, journal articles and white papers. They also contact fishery and fish farm experts," explains Bowman.
