The Computer Animation program at Ringling College of Art and Design is recognized as being among the best and most innovative visual arts colleges in the United States as well as a leader in the use of technology in the arts.

The Computer Animation films below were produced by students at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.  At 8pm, the Best of 2013 will be highlighted by Tampa Bay Arts and Education Network. Don’t change the channel too soon! The entire evening is packed with wonderful animation shorts.


“Spy Fox” a film by Taylor Clutter, Kendra Phillips, and Yoav Shtibelman
When the world is threatened by an evil hammerhead shark bent on flooding the world, it's up to SpyFox to stop him and save the world! This 60's spy film inspired short will be sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

“Chicken of the Egg” a film by Christine Kim and Elaine Wu
An offbeat romantic comedy about a pig who has an EGGdiction to eating eggs. But when he falls in love with the hottest chicken in town, he must choose what comes first... the Chicken or the Egg.

“The Final Straw” a film by Ricky Renna
A scarecrow gets more than he bargains for when a stubborn crow invades his farmland. He will stop at nothing to rid himself of the pest!

“Brain Divided” a film by Joon Soo Song, Joon Shik Song, and Josiah Haworth
A story of an ordinary guy who meets a not so ordinary girl, but his brain cells can't agree on how to go about winning her over which leads to conflict and comedy!

“Peck Pocketed” a film by Kevin Herron
A short film about a bird trying to seize his dream of a luxury home one day, when a rich old lady falls asleep in the park.

“Dead to Rights” a film by Mark Neil
Death tries to kill Wilson, but Wilson is just too nice to die. What will death do?

“Runaway” a film by Emily Buchanan, Esther Parobek, and Susan Yung
This is a charming story about a misunderstanding between a man named Stanley and his treasured 1950's refrigerator, named Chillie. Set in present day, a sad event sends Chillie into a whirlwind of emotional turmoil, and as a result, he runs away.

“Dia de los Muertos” a film by Ashley Graham, Kate Reynolds, and Lindsey St. Pierre
A short film about a little girl who gets taken to the land of the dead, where she learns the true meaning of the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos.

“Serial Taxi” a film by Paolo Cogliati
A young business woman takes a chilling ride when she realizes her cab driver could be the notorious Taxi Killer.

“Song of the Knight” a film by Steven Ray
Magical items have their pros and cons. In Steven Ray’s short film, we see just how one knight deals with his musical companion.
