TBAE NETWORK MEDIA ARTS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
TBAE Network's Media Arts Internship Program offers aspiring media professionals a unique opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience in the dynamic field of media production and broadcasting. This program is designed to provide interns with practical skills, industry insights, and valuable networking opportunities within the Tampa Bay community.
Program Overview
TBAE Network, the Tampa Bay Arts & Education Network, is dedicated to producing, showcasing, and celebrating local arts, culture, science, and technology. Their internship program serves as a bridge between academic learning and professional practice, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to succeed in the media industry. Interns work in a supportive, inclusive, and equitable environment, contributing to educational and cultural content that reaches a wide audience both locally and globally.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM CURRICULUM
Write and execute a script
Execute social media for original programs
Gain teleprompter skills
Learn Floor Director Skills in TBAE’s state-of-the-art studios
Learn video production
Learn to set up the camera and lighting equipment
Learn Technical Directing in TBAE’s Studio Control during productions
Train on live multi-camera productions in the field
Train in Adobe Photoshop
Learn how to edit video using Final Cut X & DaVinci Resolve software
Create a final project that will broadcast on TBAE's cable channels OR TBAE's Social Media
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
- Applicants must reside in Hillsborough County, Florida, or have a Hillsborough County address.
- Applicants must either be currently enrolled as a student or have just graduated, as we allow a student to participate one semester after graduation.
- Internship is unpaid, and it is the applicant's responsibility to provide lodging or transportation.
- A minimum commitment of 35 hours per program period for High School Senior students only.
- A minimum commitment of 55 hours per program period for College students is required. Must be enrolled in a college institution at the time of application submission. TBAE will be flexible to accommodate each student's school schedule.
- Applications will not be accepted after the application deadline
